A Quiet Weekend…Etching…No Urgent Care!!!

After my metal shear mishap last weekend, I decided to work on something a little less challenging this weekend…production etching.

I am excited about a small section of the collage piece that features small squares, triangles and circles. I hesitated using this pattern in etching…I couldn’t get my mind wrapped around the finished design.

Another pattern that I am anxious to try on a larger sheet reminds me of flying saucers.

Because I am using ‘repurposed’ copper from the salvage yard, there are a few undulations and dents from its’ previous life. It gives the designs a ‘character’ that new copper would never produce.

You can see all of the new etched pieces at my etsy site.
