One of the reasons we are selling our home is 3/4 acres takes up most of our free time in the summer. Instead of enjoying all that summer offers, we dread the tasks that the yard adds to our already full schedule. That is the long excuse for not have posted since late July.
When I returned from my annual trip to the mountains last week, I realized the November Art Show in South Carolina is only…gulp…six weeks away. I am now in full production mode to add new items and finish a plethora of works in process. First on my list is etched copper earrings. The circle design is in test drive mode…aesthetically, I like it…but not still not sold on the mechanics of it.
Even though the photos appear to be a jumble of patterns, each is connected to it’s partner by wire. They will be tumbled with stainless steel shot shortly before the show. I prefer selling the earrings as ‘shiny’ copper and letting them patina naturally after their purchase.
