One Step at a Time

Trying to emulate porcelain has not been difficult. UltraLite with a dusting of cornstarch is the is the perfect substrate. On the other hand, the ‘perfect’ background has created a myriad of experiments. Presently, I am playing with Golden Fiber Paste in a variety of depths and dimensions…smooth or peaked…in one piece or torn, and on…and on…and on!!!

I wanted a subtle texture for the sides of the tiles, but I did not have any texture paste on hand. After several hours on youtube and a little baking soda, glue and white paint, I was in business.  (OOOPS!!! Forgot to photograph the side)
