Letting Your Voice Take Over

Ginger Davis Allman…aka Blue Bottle Tree, had a thought provoking blog post today about finding your voice and letting it lead you.

I have been struggling with a new earring design and no matter what I tried…it just wasn’t right. When it worked visually, the engineering was a problem. When the engineering problem was solved, the visual effect was lost. HMMMMMM!!!! What to do…What to do!!!

turquoise earringsMy problem was thinking and not listening. Within two minutes…literally, I had the new design completed and ready for the oven. I need one small tweak to support the top square as they bake…but otherwise my voice was heard and the muse is smiling. (BTW…this prototype is made from scrap…but I am wearing them when we dine with friends tonight…now I am smiling!!!)

In addition to Ginger, I must give credit to Lynda Moseley and her Masterful Faux Technique.
